Easy Homemade Ice Cream: Two Ingredients, No Churn, Pure Joy โ€” Colonia Del Rey RV Blog

South Texas summers are hot, and a cold dessert at the end of a campfire dinner is always welcome. This no-churn ice cream recipe is one of those things that seems too simple to be real โ€” two core ingredients, no special equipment, and the result is genuinely delicious, creamy ice cream that your whole family will love. Make it in the afternoon and it's ready by dessert time at Colonia del Rey RV Park.

Easy Homemade Ice Cream

No-churn ice cream is about as fast and easy as ice cream gets. And you only need TWO ingredients!

Ingredients

2 cups heavy whipping cream
14 oz sweetened condensed milk

Of course, feel free to add any flavorings you want โ€” vanilla extract, chocolate sauce or powder, chocolate chips, mint extract, fruit chunks, crushed cookies โ€” make it your own!

Method

First, combine the sweetened condensed milk in a bowl with any of your flavorings. Mix it together and set it aside.

Next, beat the whipping cream until it reaches stiff peaks. Use a stand mixer to make this step go faster. Don't over-whip or you will get butter!

Going in thirds, carefully fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture. Pour into a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4โ€“5 hours. Enjoy!

This is fun for the kids too โ€” you can allow them to help design what kind of ice cream to make. Try a Gulf Coast twist: fold in some crushed graham crackers and a drizzle of caramel for a "beach bonfire" flavor that feels right at home here in Corpus Christi.
